In the new convention event center opened. It includes a grand ball room with room for 1,000 guests. There is also a junior ballroom with room for 700 guests. The junior ballroom can also be divided into four smaller rooms. In addition, there are executive board rooms.

Dallas Cowboys announced partnership with WinStar World Casino and Resort

On Thursday an announcement was made that the Dallas Cowboys have formed a partnership with WinStar World Casino and Resort. The Cowboys are part of the National Football League. The team competes in the East division for the National Football Conference. There are 32 teams in the league. The partnership is the first time in the NFL history to have a a team with an official casino designation.

WinStar World Casino and Resort is located in Thackerville, Oklahoma. It is owned by the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma.

The announcement was made in joint by Jack Parkinson and Jerry Jones. Parkinson is the general manager for WinStar World Casino. Jones is the owner of the Dallas Cowboys. The team has won the Super Bowl five times.

It is illegal to conduct sports betting in Oklahoma. A committee of owners was formed and met during the off season for the NFL. During this meeting it was agreed that the rules pertaining to promotion of gaming would be relaxed. Partnerships between casinos and teams would be allowed. Naming rights for stadiums will now also be open to casino sponsorship. However, it is still not allowed to have direct relationships with sportsbooks.

On May 14 a vote was made by the United States Supreme Court that changed the 1992 federal that banned sports betting. The decision was 6 to 3 ruling that forcing the states to ban the game under The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was a constitutional violation.

Nevada was the only state that was allowed to operate sports betting until the law was overturned. Since the ruling, many states are moving towards approving gaming regulations that would allow for sports betting to be operated inside their state's boarder. As of now, there are 8 states that have sports betting legalized and have written regulation to operate it.

The 2019 legislative session will consider sports betting legalization in Ohio and Kentucky.
